About somebody else doing it, most people don't want to waste 30 hours of their life watching from the back and begging people to help you.

Oh and I have to laugh at all the rank 3 deers. Are you seriously trying to show off rank 3? God anymore rank 9 doesn't even impress anybody.
Yes, I didn't do anything, this is obvious: I didn't get past the desert, I didn't kill the Mirror, I haven't got that 1,300,000 exp points by soloing Diviner's Ascent and I surely haven't passed the rest of the missions, which I was tanking like any other Warrior would do. I think the only two missions I wasn't involved in a large fights were Abaddon's Mouth and Hell's Precipice, as there's always a lag factor which can kill you any time, especially if your allies are dead or too far away. If you'll see one of my previous messages, you'll note that I've posted a thank you to a random pick up group with whom I've passed Dunes of Despair, The Dragon's Lair, Ice Caves of Sorrow, Iron Mines of Moladune, Thunderhead Keep and Ring of Fire bonuses, these folks weren't even my guildies, nor did I know these people. Since what times playing like that is called a running, taking the fact I already had the title by the time I've been finishing the bonuses?

Warrior/Monks are a very nice PvE melee characters, I don't think there's something wrong with playing a W/Mo.

No, you don't have to laugh at rank 3 deers, because when you have 4 different accounts you're logging with into the game, rank 3 is probably the highest rank you can get (that's why I decided to play HA only under one of them).

This isn't an attempt to undermine your accomplishment, I'm just curious why you have so little territory explored.
Hmm, it's been a long time ago, but as far as I remember, there might have been a few runs to the missions in the desert and there also have been a small run to Marhan's Grotto. You see, it's one of those things you could do with the henchies, but there's really no need to waste your time on these runs if you're working towards your goal to complete the game with 0 deaths. What I recall is that I've done both of the attribute quests alone with the henchies, and the same goes for completing Dunes of Despair, The Dragon's Lair, Ice Caves of Sorrow and Ring of Fire for the first time (when I wasn't doing the bonuses). In other words, I don't think that my gameplay included lots of running.

If they didn't expect people to "power level", they wouldn't provide all those tempting scrolls (which I believe GWG had active during his final mission).
In any event, gg.

ETA: Ack, EagleEye also noted this - so you were run?
And to speak about power-leveling, there's absolutely no need for a Warrior to ask somebody else to farm something for him, personally I've been farming Diviner's Ascent to get the 3rd title, and then I've moved to complete all of the remaining bonuses. On the last 200k of exp I've also asked a friend to come with me and bond my character as dying due to an ISP or GW server lag isn't something which will impress you when you're a few hours away from maxing the Survivor title. The reason I invited a Monk was that if your game starts lagging, or if your ISP is losing connection with Guild Wars servers, the game is still thinking that you're inside the mission for about 30 seconds, and this is the thing which cannot be prevented by Alt-F4's or logouts, it's just like one big lottery, whose provider is better =)

Yep, Scrolls of Slayer's Insight ftw =) It's 300 xp per Sand Drake in Diviner's Ascent. The build I used to run is Deadly Riposte, Riposte, Healing Signet, Mending, To The Limit, [Gladiator's Defense], Bonetti's Defense & Sprint. I'm not certain about what a Mesmer could run to solo-farm the enemies, but you'll probably need the skills like Illusionary Weaponry, Riposte, Distortion and Physical Resistance.

No offense... you know.. But looking right at your own screen shots, of you at HP with RUS and RusI... you are clearly standing on the steps, way out of the line of fire but close enough for XP. If by tanking 'like any other warrior would do' meant, casting mending on yourself, and standing far from aggro, well.. gg!

edit: ok, so you point out you stood out of the way at this mission, fine. i'm still not impressed.

But keep on posting those Legendary Survivor title pages. Always a fun look, even the power leveled ones. Screenies of just after having achieved the title would be nice, instead of several tens of thousands XP after (which I find weird). Heck if I ever get the level 3 title it'll be like 1 XP after having got it.
You know, the funny thing is that I've got my rank 1 Survivor title a few hours after the titles were actually put into the game, I just didn't know I'm supposed to get one, and when I read about it, I went to North Kryta Provice, outside of Lion's Arch, killed one Fire Imp and have got that title, simply as that =) That's how Guild Wars have got its first Survivor. To be honest, I've been really surprised to see those harsh replies about me being ran or wanting some fame, taking the fact this thread's been created by the time when there have been no titles at all. I just wanted to update the thread and let the people know I did it, as I've been asked to do so several times while meeting the players inside the game.

Of course there's a way to farm any amount of exp with a friend who plays a Monk, but technically, anything else can be farmed like that. My personal goal was to pass the game with 0 deaths, no to farm a 3rd rank of that title, it just happened so that ArenaNet introduced them into the game and I was the first to obtain the first two ranks of it.

This is an effort of team spirit. His team mates helped him, so what? I bet that the next time he will help an other mate to get the title. I don't think the title is meant for soloists or 55 monks. You can bagatalize the title as much as you want, but at least he had friends who helped him. That is something you can't say of many. Most have one-man guilds

Lol, do you really think that I feared to approach the Lich? =) Of course I could picture a very strong fight with him, as if it's been hard and stuff, but I was 100% sure that 6 people are capable of beating an NPC by themselves, especially taking the fact IZO wanted to tank him alone, that's clearly seen on the screenshots. To tell more, we've finished the mission just to prolong the fun, all I needed this time was the bonus, as I've already passed the original campaign on that character about 2 months ago. Guild Wars is a team game, and I certainly can tank Jade Armors when there are good healers, but why would I try to tank one NPC when the other Warriors are already working on it? What you're saying is like: "Dude, you need to do the screenshots, type /deaths, fight the Lich and look as if you're worth the title you have". To me, it sounds like a lame attempt to show that I did nothing particular, I could care less, really.

Ripping someone for this accomplishment is beyond my comprehension.

I can't believe I am hearing comments about the ways some people are dreaming up how Cyber Smoke cheated and then ripping him for doing what you imagine he is doing.

This is a fine feat.

I've managed to get a character to "Survivor" and am the only one in my guild who has it. I do not "cheat" with scrolls but I am cautious and carry strong healing and protection and if I feel I am going to die, I "X" out in a hurry. I do it all with henchies or solo so as not to annoy a team that I may "X" out of the game on. I was run once to Lion's Arch to get access to Cantha and had a guildie who kindly soloed Villany of Galraith for me.

I am now working on the next tier, and I see Cyber Smoke's efforts as an inspiration. I will probably keep the Survivor Title up despite any other title I get.

To tell the truth, I didn't even want to answer that one, but I think I will, just to keep everything clear. If you'll look at this screenshot, you'll see the original area where I've been getting my experience from, that is Diviner's Ascent. You'll also see the build I used to solo the enemies, this is a tricky area with 2 Sand Drake bosses, and one of them (Ele) isn't too easy to kill. Plus, you're always attacked by 2-3 enemies at once.

You see, when you're working on getting the second or third Survivor title, the main problem which can occur is occasional connection drops from your ISP or GW server glitches like teleports to a random location, out of syncs, etc. And, in this case, it's not even a matter of skill -- you're absolutely sure you can tank the enemies by yourself, but it becomes a matter of raffle, where you can get killed anytime, just as soon as your connection expresses a lag that's longer than 10-15 seconds. You probably haven't thought about it yet, but I'll tell you what happens in this case, in a solo-farm run or henchway mission. The whole stuff on your screen (the client) is getting frozen as if the game's been paused for a while, but the true thing that's happening is that you're still alive on the server and it doesn't understand that you've been temporarily disconnected. You can try to do the logout or even close the game client, but the chances it's going to help are rather low. In other words, when it comes to an ISP or GW servers lag, there's a 80% chance your character is gonna die no matter what, until he's bonded like a crazy mofo. The funny thing is that you're not even going to see your first death, it's not a matter of personal skill, as I said =) That's why I invited a guildie to help me with getting the last 200k of my exp, otherwise I could die any time, just as soon as my connection started to lag or if it temporarily disappeared.

P.S. Believe it or not, I never used any power-levelers, and as a Warrior myself, I wouldn't spend a single platinum on them.

Congratulations on the exploit, creativity and accomplishment.

Ignore all the naysayers around here that have little better to do than complain about the game and slam people. They have wasted just as much time in their negativity as you have in enjoying the game. Tell me which side you would rather be on...

Excuse me, but what do you mean by "a real challenge"? In my opinion, having the 3rd rank of that title means that you've already passed quite a challenge, why would I bother to get another Legendary Survivor if I have one? Of course I could easily do that with 4 accounts, but I just don't feel like spending my time on another gamble which will bring me a bunch of sleepless nights R/N is a good character to do it though, Vampiric touchers rock

I hadn't meant to suggest you were "power-leveled", which by my definition, means standing in the background out of harms way while someone else does all the work. I meant that the scrolls were valuable xP add-ons that many people would want to use to facilitate the process. I too have a Survivor (noob level), that I brought over to Tyria (Rit). I did this because I know the missions/bonuses very well, and feel that the lag issues I was experiencing in Cantha wouldn't be as troublesome. Who wants to die because of an untimely lag spike? Furthermore, to progress in Cantha one must beat Vizunah Square with unknown players on the other side. I did not see the point in risking the title by playing with strangers who could care less whether I died or not. I will use scrolls during battles with monsters that will give me experience - and hope that the additional boost will ease my progress.
As I am not in a guild, I don't give myself much hope of reaching the next level, let alone the third. However, I have a few friends who have assisted on missions/bonuses that would be difficult to do with hench. These included: Riverside, Sanctum, and Bloodstone Fen. The rest were henched, and this included the bonuses as well. I am now in Augury Rock, and I will hench or have a friend accompany me to the various outposts. While I was run to Ascalon (and points in between), this was done primarily because I did not wish to have to waste time getting to the start of the game. My Sin fought her way to Ascalon, and it was time consuming (and netted no experience anyway). So in closing, I can appreciate what you did to achieve the title as I going through the same process myself.

Good luck on your journey, Ipsi. I think I've already seen a Legendary Survivor Ritualist so it's not as hard as it seems. Elona Reach can be passed by a runner and Dunes of Despair can be done with the henchies, so Thirsty River is the only mission you might need a party for. As for myself, I've been playing with PUGs about 50% of the time spent on the missions. What you need to do while playing with PUGs is to ask the Monk to keep an eye on you & heal you whenever you lose more than 30% health.
